In September 2017, the Department of Education awarded a $1,161,300 Ronald McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement grant to increase research activities and improve doctoral degree enrollment and completion rates among underrepresented students at Hampton University. McNair Scholars have access to a range of services designed to help them successfully complete a postbaccalaureate degree.
Hampton's initial cohort of Ronald McNair Scholars are conducting cutting-edge research at some of the finest research institutions in the world. In addition, these Scholars have presented their research at very competitive conferences.
